Surface Design Show 2023, London | 7-9 February
Surface Design Show is the UK’s leading event for architects, designers, and specifiers to discover the best in surface material design for the built environment. Surface Design Show 2023 – Event Highlights
Main Stage Programme
The Main Stage will host over 40 speakers across 18 different presentations. Highlights for 2023 include the Opening Night Debate; the ever-entertaining PechaKucha Evening and the popular Legends Live series, this year hosted by Mix Interiors.
Opening Night Debate
Setting the pace on the first night will be a live debate, hosted this year by Human Nature’s Jonathan Smales. Shaping Communities is the theme for 2023 and the debate will question how the architecture and interior design professions are handling this important topic.
PechaKucha Evening
The PechaKucha Evening has always been a highlight of the Surface Design Show. 8 speakers each presenting 20 slides for just 20 seconds provide an entertaining event as they battle to get their messages across in a fast and furious format. The evening will be hosted by Nikki Osborn from Basha-Franklin.
New Talent
Supporting New Talent in the tiles and textile industry is a key focus for the Surface Design Show. The 2023 event, curated again by Trendease International in Partnership with Tessellate. Co, will feature over 30 ‘New Talents’ from the UK, China, Denmark, Eygpt, Malaysia, Sweden, Thailand, and The Netherlands. Displays will cover biomaterials, natural materials, textiles, wallcoverings, furniture, and organically grown materials.
Surface Spotlight Live
In Partnership with CDUK, Surface Spotlight Live is a focal point for designers to touch and compare the very latest material prototypes.
Stone Gallery
Stone Gallery brings an exclusive preview of natural stone to Surface Design Show. The Stone Tapestry, curated by Squire & Partners, is a bespoke installation piece exploring innovative textures, light, colour, and pattern to create a tapestry of inspiring materials from around the world.
